Maintenance Grooming

Even if your pet does not need to have fur clipped off, regular brushing is important throughout the year. Cats have a layer of dense, soft fur beneath the coarser, outer hairs of their coat, and this coat needs to be maintained regularly to minimise the possibility of matting. My inexpensive maintenance grooming is just the thing your cat needs!

Look at the difference with a maintenance groom. It’s surprising how much hair needed to come out.

The Procedure: Here’s a visual example of a maintenance grooming procedure.

Diagnosis - There are no short cuts with long haired cats. I would highly recommend regular maintenance grooming to avoid the extremes.

Treatment - A Full Maintenance Groom. All my work is LAP work - with the cat supported on a towel.

After treatment - After the grooming procedure has been completed we have a beautifully groomed and much happier cat.

Throughout any aspect of grooming the tolerance level of the cat varies and I'm continually aware of the stress factor, making every effort to minimise trauma and distress.
